It is a multifaceted interest for me with things like, where they were made(Tennessee), the mode Jack focused on (CW), the reason this was where they put all their engineering effort it seemed as well as the physical appearance or aesthetic if the radios, I just love everything about the brand and equipment.

Amateur radio and travel…for me.
When I travel there is usually not a lot of time left in the schedule for ham radio. Occasionally though, there is and if I know about it in advance, I will plan on bringing a radio. This has pretty broad rules too as it just depends on where and how I am traveling there, to determine which radio I take.
